E-Deck: home of electric aviation

At Teuge Airport, E-Deck is bringing to life the Hangar of the Future. This sustainable event venue serves as the home for E-Flight - the world's first electric flight school, and E-Deck - an innovation hub for sustainable aviation.

No Dodos' investment supports us in achieving our sustainability ambitions and enables E-Deck's Green Key certification.

Matthijs Collard Co-founder E-Deck

No Dodos is investing in E-Deck to accelerate the transition to electric aviation and support E-Deck in obtaining their Green Key certification.

Hangar of the Future

E-Deck is transforming an existing hangar into the Hangar of the Future. This project involves the installation of 530 solar panels and a large mega-battery, enabling fully electric and solar-powered flight. Such a concept has not been executed on this scale anywhere in the world. Once completed, it will be possible to simultaneously charge 10 electric cars and 4 electric planes with solar energy.

E-Flight Academy: full-electric flight school

E-Deck is home to the E-Flight Academy. E-Flight, the world's first electric flight school, offers sustainable flight training year-round with its four electric planes. This ensures zero emissions and minimal disturbance to the surroundings. The current electric planes have a flight time of approximately 50 minutes, which is ideal for an effective flying lesson. After each lesson, the plane is recharged within an hour for the next session. E-Flight Academy exclusively focuses on pilot training and does not offer sightseeing or pleasure flights. To date, we have successfully trained over 50 e-pilots, both experienced and novice flyers.

Knowledge hub: E-Campus

The E-Campus, housed in the new E-Deck hangar, is the place to be for quiet and clean aviation, where research takes place in close collaboration with the electric aviation industry. This dynamic hub brings together engineers, pilots, students, and entrepreneurs under one roof, with the aim of advancing the development of electric flight. The goal is to significantly accelerate the progress of this technology. Currently, E-Flight operates small electric two-seaters for short durations, but the ambition extends further: E-Flight aims for larger aircraft that can cover longer distances, allowing everyone to travel without flight shame in the future.

Flying on Sunshine

Sustainability has a price tag. To fund the Hangar of the Future, E-Flight and E-Deck initiated a crowdfunding campaign: Flying on the Sun. No Dodos is investing in E-Deck, earning our logo a spot on the Wall of Fame and an electric charging station. While that's nice, what's far more important is that this investment made the sustainability of E-Deck possible.

With this investment, a 530 kWh mega-battery will be installed, along with solar panels and charging stations for the electric planes. The E-Campus will be developed, and E-Deck will be equipped with LED lighting, acoustic panels, efficient electric heating, waste bins for waste separation, and native vegetation. Follow E-Deck's journey toward Green Key certification.

We're proud of our contribution to this sustainable venue and investment in a better future.

We proudly support E-Deck's crowdfunding campaign Flying on the Sun!
